Choose to start with male or female. Then flag for honeybee family tree. It'll be a Fibonacci sequence. Males (blue) have 1 parent. Females (pink) have 2. Starting with either results in Fibonacci sequence, but male start with one 1 parent, 2 grandparents, 3 great-grandparents GG, 5 GGG (great-great-grandparents), 8, 13, 21 and so on. Females start with 2 parents, then 3 grandparents, 5 GG, 8 GGG and so on. Adjust angle, shrink factor, and generations of this fractal family tree.
Male drone honeybees come from unfertilized egg, so have 1 parent (mother). Females have 2 parents. Results in a Fibonacci family tree: male has 1 parent, 2 grandparents, then 3 great grandparents, then 5, 8, 13, 21 ... (that's the Fibonacci sequence). If you start with female, then you get the same Fibonacci sequence but it starts with 2 parents and ends with 34 GGGGGG (34 GGGGG Grandparents). What's new about this from my last version is the animated Blender bee. I modified my recent Fibonacci fractal tree to work for honeybee parentage, stamping the male and female costume before branching. Added "wait" after each level for easy viewing of each generation.
