Instructions

I originally posted this on my alt account, but a rather… troublesome person saw the project, and I’d rather not get involved with someone like that, so I deleted the original and am reposting this here. I also added some stuff since I’m not as frustrated as I was earlier and can think more clearly ~~~ I am SICK and TIRED of people acting like others’ feelings don’t matter, and that showing your feelings is bad or something. Always saying things like “you just need to toughen up,” or “suck it up, buttercup,” (that second one honestly is extremely cringe-worthy, too). People are allowed to be sad. People are allowed to be scared. People are allowed to be mad. But society doesn’t seem to think so. Being bullied? Toughen up. Being harassed? Toughen up. Being threatened? Toughen up. It’s stupid and I am tired of it. Feelings exist, and people are allowed to show them. No one is stupid or lesser for doing so. So no. We do NOT need to “toughen up.” YOU need to start caring. I’m not saying people should just “cry about everything,” or whatever. But sometimes there are things that do upset or sadden people, and they shouldn’t feel ashamed about feeling that way (if it’s something serious, like the three examples I listed above).
