Description

SATO tourism to SC has been banned by the latter, also people looking to migrate from SATO to SC are accepted as 'asylum seekers'. People looking to migrate from SC to SATO (not from SC to neutral countries, however) are forced to pay large fines for "transportation expenses", and coupled with the extreme propagation of propaganda SC emigration rates are very low, and most citizens choose to move between SC countries. In an attempt to increase immigration into SC they have signed a law guaranteeing immediate citizenship to immigrants that pass government inspection, however that law has been criticized for representing totalitarianism and is likely to be amended into a more reasonable version; various SC countries have also begun a government-housing program that allows for immigrants to receive free housing provided they work more than 40 hours a week, and for SC citizens if they work more than 50 hours a week (this also applies to immigrants as soon as they become citizens). SC maintains good trade relationships with neutral countries, though if they view a country as 'too close to SATO' they might stop trading with them; SC-SATO trading relationships are very, very delicate, though they persist due to necessary exports from each to the other. SC military command is composed of approximately fifteen individuals. Almost no information is known on twelve of them (name, age, gender, background, appearance, qualifications, ideology, etc.), with the other three acting as the official voices and faces of the organization. With the lack of information there come a multitude of unconfirmed rumours that i was going to list but they sounded kind of silly so I'll just summarize some uncanon information about the group: one of the commanders is a convicted war criminal who was incredibly intelligent and was granted pardon in exchange for assisting the second coalition (it was that or public execution, and he still gets to sit chained to a wall with a couple of guns aimed at him), another commander is a former SATO general that defected due to personal reasons, and all of them are very intelligent and tactically and politically minded. However as I said the only people that anyone, including SC citizens, actually know anything definitive about are the three who're public figures (my point is you can't use these as facts as in canon all they are are rumours) SC can be distinctively divided into two sections, one being military and the other being political; the former deals in all the conflicts and distribution of equipment and obligations amongst member countries, and doesn't actually do a ton except during wartime (SC military is a separate entity from member state militaries, for example there is actually an Astanislavian People's Army although it is very small; SC states provide recruits and funding for the military, and in turn it protects and works with them); and the latter does everything else relating to politics, from coalition laws and policies to diplomacy and negotiation, and is the part that is most often dealt with internationally (the leaders of all the member states as well as their advisors and a variety of other officials from SC states make up this section of it, it's kind of like a cross between the way politics work in a supranational organization like NATO and a legislative structure like the US Senate) sc is kinda cool because it doesn't really have any comparisons to real life, i mean it's relationships with other countries could be compared to China (since it hates SATO which is basically NATO and Alverton which is basically Russia also dislikes SATO but Alverton and SC aren't exactly friends) but like the government and the structures and everything else about it doesn't really correlate with China or even other countries which is how it should be, STU countries shouldn't *be* real life countries, they should only be *inspired* by them
