CLOSED <3 Hosts are discussing! IMPORTANT! The deadline has been extended until the 23rd at 11:59 UTC. We'll be judging around that time :) Remixtree: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/859031310/remixtree/ Welcome to the leader applications for SRC, August 2023! ♢ Full-screen is recommended. ─── ∘° ♢°∘ ─── ♢ What is SRC? Scratch Reading Camp (commonly abbreviated as SRC) is a camp on scratch where you get to read as a cabin to earn points. This is a friendly competition and in the end, everyone is a winner. This project is specifically for the (co)leader applications, to apply, remix this project with your answers! (note that even though you may not get to be a leader or a co-leader you can still apply to become a camper). If you would like to be notified for the camper sign-ups you can ask on @lokiously's profile. The rest of the information is in the project :D ─── ∘° ♢°∘ ─── These applications close on the 20th of June at 11:59pm UTC so don't hesitate if you'd like to apply! new! [] Reminder that collaborative projects are not allowed, it must be 100% by you. ─── ∘° ♢°∘ ─── ♢ What does it mean to be a (co)leader? Being a leader or a co-leader isn't too different from being a camper, you can still complete the main cabin challenges but at the same time, you will be leading your own cabin. As a (co)leader, you 1) are expected to make/help create a studio for your cabin 2) add camper's pages regularly 3) be a positive influence on your campers and set a good example for them 4) create a nice atmosphere for them 5) make activities for them (and you and your (co)leader!) to complete 6) have fun! The whole purpose of SRC is to have fun while reading - so make sure you and your campers are doing both! ;) ─── ∘° ♢°∘ ─── ♢ Cabins Cabins will be different this session. There are three decided cabins, dystopian, mystery, realistic fiction, and we will decide on 2-4 more based on the number of applications! In your application, it'll ask you what cabin you'd like to (co)lead - when you're answering it, we'd absolutely love it if you'd give a few new genre's for our lineup ;) Note that your cabin name won't determine what you can read - you can read anything that is a novel/book/graphic novel/, your writing, or a newspaper. With your cabin genre, you'll create a name for your cabin! Some examples from the last sessions are, "Bizzaro Boulevard" "Fantasy Fair" and "Mystery Patisserie" - you can get as creative as you want, as long as it follows the community guidelines. ─── ∘° ♢°∘ ─── ⤷ Questions? If you have any questions SRC-related, feel free to ask one of the wonderful hosts this session, @lokiously, @essayist, or @RoseReef. ─── ∘° ♢°∘ ─── ♢ Credits: - @essayist, @lokiously, and @Rosereef for hosting this session, and all the past gHosts who have make SRC into what it is today <3 - SWC for inspiration - Canva - You for viewing this!
