Instructions

SOOOOOOO, my parents took me to see the live action little mermaid movie, and this is what I think of it. First of all, don't judge me people, but I think that I like this version of the movie better than the classic version. #1: I enjoyed the CGI affects for the undersea world. It gave off a whimsical feel and had me interested. #2: Halle Bailey wasn't exactly half bad as Ariel. And I thought she looked gorgeous #3: The songs were pretty good, although they never truly sounded the same as the bangers the original had. #4: I liked how Disney TRIED to include more diversity, but they could at least treat it as a normal thing and not just...blackwash/whitewash characters. It's not the same thing. I appreciate it, but why not try to include people of other cultures? Or in the LGBTQ+ community? (Though that's probably never gonna happen since Disney's homophobic as f-) #5: I thought Scuttlebutt was funny. Don't judge me. (Note, this was an edit my earlier opinion. I made this not because I'm trying to slander the original. It is STILL very good, and upholds as a well-known Disney classic, but since I'm seeing what Disney is doing with OTHER remakes, such as Snow White, this is the only one I'm going to give attention to. This one was actually enjoyable. I really liked Halle Bailey as Ariel, and I GET Disney is trying to add more diversity, but as most people have pointed out, you don't need to blackwash a bunch of characters. I'm not being racist. This is just my opinion. Again, this is the ONLY REMAKE I liked. The others were lame. This and Cinderella were actually good.)
