i found this on tiktok btw the difference between special interests and hyperfixations is that special interests are autism, while hyperfixations are adhd. special interests tend to be lifelong, while hyperfixations come in short bursts. If you have both autism and adhd, you might have both or your interests might be a mixture of the two.
