When citizens of IL were cleaning up the grey goo and monitoring the drought, they noticed that there wasn't a Samanian or Aerachne citizen in sight. Realizing the citizens fled the country, the IL native citizens decided to merge back to IL (who wouldn't want to explore the galaxy).
