Air Scratch Flight 1253 was a scheduled domestic passenger flight from Polonis International Airport, Chicago to London Heathrow Airport, England in IGreat Britain. On 29 October 2016, the Dalon DN-120-900brave operating the route crashed into the North Atlantic Ocean 25 minutes after takeoff, killing all 206 passengers and crew. It was the first major accident involving the new Dalon DN-120-900brave series of aircraft, introduced in 2011, and the highest death toll of any accident or incident involving a DN-120 series aircraft, surpassing Lifthanser Flight 953 in 2009. It was the deadliest accident in Air Scratch's history, surpassing the 1981 Air Scratch Flight 6 that killed 35, and the second deadliest aircraft accident in the atlantic behind Lifthanser Flight 999.
