Description

Story: There's a new neighbor, or perhaps a forgotten neighbor? One day while exploring around the neighborhood the neighbors came across an odd broken down shack they had never seen before. Eddie and Frank decided to investigate, and inside they found a small childlike puppet who at first appeared to be dead. The two let the others inside to see the puppet and when Julie decided to approach the small puppet shifted and woke up. When she moved it was clear she was injured, but not dead. She had a large cut down her face with stuffing leaking out of it here and there, and her clothes were ruined and arms and legs torn as well. (At the time Wally was not with the other neighbors as he was handling something back with Home.) Sally was sent to get Wally and grabbed Poppy's first aid kit as well. Wally helped fix the kid up as she slowly came to and started to process the world around her. Once she recognized she wasn't alone anymore she panicked and actually kicked Wally in the face and hid in the back corner of the shack, staring at them. Wally carefully calmed her down until he was able to touch her and he told the other neighbors to go back to Home. He slowly led her back and let her sleep in Home. Halfway through the night Home woke Wally up. Upon investigation he found that the kid was missing and went looking for her. He found her back at her shack, holding a tiny paper, and crying. He comforted her until she fell asleep and read the nearly destroyed paper. The only thing he could make out of it were the words "Esper" and "Sweets" so the next day he asked her name and when she couldn't recall is Wally decided to name her Esper Sweets. As time went on and Esper grew more comfortable she started hanging out with all the neighbors and showed her true personality. She was playful, smart, kind, and thoughtful and took after Wally really well. She often clung to Wally and tended to never leave his side. Esper also loves to hang out with Sally and Barnaby but prefers Wally to any of the neighbors. One day when Wally accidently cut himself and Esper saw she had a panic attack and as time went on the neighbors slowly realized that she had trauma hidden under her happy attitude. She didn't seem to be able to remember anything from her previous life so and the neighbors never push her about it. She lives a happy life with Wally and Home. Does it hurt? It hurts. Can you see her?! "WALLY WAKE UP! WAKE UP WAKE UP HELP ME!" Just. A. Little. Further. Neighbor. Lore that the characters dont know but I do bcs im the creator(Congrats if you scrolled this far to learn this): She was originally part of the cast but was scrapped for being to similar to Wally and because of other reasons. Her house was scrapped as well and in the universe of the show was sent into the woods and she was left alone for a very long time where she dealt with her trauma and pain alone to the point her mind forgot how to interact with others and all of her memories. She treats Wally the way she does because he was the person she registered as the one who saved her. No this is not a crush style clinginess, more sibling or parent style.
