First two pieces of art are a bit old, but still very proud! These designs are gorgeous! — 1. Scene, I love the shading ! 2. Ref sheet! My beloved hehe 3. Icon with shading I am very proud of! 4. Might add a bit more later! — Name: Takoizu (Tah-koi-zu) Pronouns: He/Him Species: Spirit Personality: Takoizu easily comes off as prickly and aloof, preferring solitude instead of traveling with others. But he has a good heart, putting others before himself and is very selfless, if not reckless. Once he puts his mind to something, Takoizu never lets go. Backstory: (TW: Implied death, blood) When he was alive, Takoizu was a powerful warrior. He would travel the country and the wilds, defeating bandits and rogues and making these paths safe to travel. He would hunt wild beasts that were plaguing the people and destroying the woods. And because of his deeds, Takoizu was well known and revered as the Wanderer. His life was rough and there was little to no time for a break, but he was content, as being able to protect others fulfilled him. But eventually war came to his land, and during a stay in a small town, Takoizu was approached by two officials and was forced to be drafted into the war effort. Takoizu didn’t mind, but went with trepidation as nearby a spirit had subconsciously given him a vision of the future. A vision of red blood against a teal ribbon. And although Takoizu didn't know fully what it meant, he knew that it was most definitely connected to his future. And it didn't take long for the vision to come true. His first fight on the battlefield was going fine at first. Great, in fact. Their general was competent, their ranks were organized, and their strategy was efficient. Perhaps that was why Takoizu didn't see it coming. In the thick of the battle and bloodshed, Takoizu failed to take notice of a soldier from the enemy faction behind him. With a swift moment, the head of the opponent's spear pierced Takoizu, and the wanderer collapsed, pain rocketing through his body. Blood was pooling everywhere. He should've died. But he didn't. When he opened his eyes, he saw his savior. A large, shimmering dragon spirit loomed over him, holding the spear's shaft in place. And before his eyes, the spear dissipated into thin air. His eyes widened in awe and fear, and he could see his assailant was equally mystified and terrified. He knew who this spirit was. Piesces. The wound on Takoizu's chest sealed up. His blood became a striking teal, and all of his injuries healed, transforming his body. Although he did not realize it, this spirit was giving up its own power to save Takoizu. Piesces reeled in pain, its body shaking. In a bright flash of light, the dragon transformed into two turquoise fish, swimming in the air around Takoizu. Understandably, Takoizu's attempted killer ran away in fear. The wanderer stood up slowly, his breath shaky. What had just happened? From that moment on, Takoizu became immortal thanks to the sacrifice of Piesces. As long as the spirit stayed around, Takoizu could remain in the corporeal world, but he could not wander farther than the mountain border surrounding his land. And although Takoizu was grateful, he was slightly resentful. He never asked for this fate, and would have been perfectly fine having a warrior's death. But he had to accept it graciously, for this spirit had sacrificed essentially its own lifeforce to ensure he would go on living. So it would be how he would live, forevermore. -- Art by me Design by @jayfeather345 Now playing: Rhinestone Eyes - Gorillaz Do not steal, trace, recolor, or reference my art in any way.
