Instructions

Due to recent changes in the way cloud data is handled, this project is no longer working.

Description

YOU MUST BE SIGNED IN AND HAVE ACHIEVED THE SCRATCHER RANK FOR THIS PROJECT TO WORK PROPERLY! This is a live (!) webcam feed of my town's common (if you have access to cloud data). Assuming my server is up, has not crashed, and is not having connectivity issues with the webcam, this image will update every 10 seconds. It may take a few moments before the Scratch cloud servers send the first frame, so please be patient. Note that the timestamp on the image does not obey daylight saving time. To find the actual time in my area, go here: http://time.is/Westford Discussion thread: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/165052/ HOW IT WORKS: A script on my server fetches a photo from Connolly Insurance Agency's town common webcam every 10 seconds. The image is quantized to 256 indexed colors to save space, and packed (expanded?) into a hex string sent to the cloud data server. ST: Would you like me to make a version with a MIT webcam?
