The author is Jason Padgett: http://fineartamerica.com/featured/octagon-limits-jason-padgett.html I reproduced it with Geogebra some time ago and use it as a pattern for my backgrounds everywhere. Now I'm happy to be able to reproduce it with Scratch as well :)
