Instructions

IMPORTANT NOTE: The game is getting too big for scratch (and some computers) to handle, so it runs slowly on older computers and that makes some features break (pretty much every wait block). Thx :D) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi! I'm Bello, and I'm happy to present to you my game, bathophobia! I think you all know the popular game, Doors, but if not, basically it's a horror game about going through many rooms and surviving enemies and bosses while collecting items to help you. So like two years ago I wanted to make a cool "fangame" inspired by it (actually, the idea was from my brother, but I'm the good one at programming so...). I'm happy to announce that it WILL become a full game, and more stuff is on the way! It would help if the game became *a bit* viral, so if you liked it, give it a hearty :D. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Also, right now there are only 4 enemies, no bosses, 10 rooms and the game is endless... so there's a long way to completion, even though I'm working on the game 24/7! (that's a lie... but at least I try to ;>) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ➝Mechanics: These are the key binds and their respective uses you need to know before playing the game (remember that, like doors, it's a game where you have to learn what the items and enemies do by yourself, so don't expect a full guide on the game!): ➥You move with W A S D, as usual with these games. ➥With E you can interact with cages (they are like Door's closets, and you can hide from monsters there), drawers (which give you money and items!), buttons (to open closed gates), items (once you equip them) and a lot more (I'm too lazy to right every single thing). ➥To select items in your inventory, use buttons 1 through 5 (they even have sounds when you equip/use them!1!1!!!1). ➥In the bottom left corner, there's a health bar, and in the bottom right corner, there's a durability bar (changes with your inventory selection and shows the "charge" of your items). ➥With space, you can sprint, to move faster, but it uses stamina (top right), so be careful! ➥Pressing Q activates your trinket. (Not fully implemented yet *sad face*) ➥Finally, with the F key, you close your eyes. This lets you easily find enemies, keys, buttons and cages in a pinch, which will be important for enemy interactions in future updates (For example an enemy that kills you if your eyes are open). ➥There is also a console, but it's only available for devs (me and my friends (who are none ;-;)), so if you help with the game and receive admin privileges, you can access it by pressing P and writing "help". If you want to be an admin you have to help me by participating in special things that will come shortly! Well, I think that's all! Enjoy the game! -Ba bye Bello40

Changelog moved to the game's starting menu! ➝Credits: ➥Bello40(it's me!): Game dev, coder, artist (both in PixelArt and vector), music maker (in the future, at least), etc, etc. ➥Llamas81: Secondary game dev and playtester. He helps with the advertising too! he made a lot of ideas and concepts for the game, like *some* enemies, items and mechanics. The original idea for the game was his, but I... Refined it. ➥Thanks to Pixabay and all their users, this game would be silent without them! (I got the ambient, VFX soundtracks, etc from this page: https://pixabay.com/sound-effects/) I would credit them but there are WAY too many. that's all for now ._. You could say I'm stretching the limits of indie developer... Right guys? Please laugh ;-; ------------------------------------------------------------------------- If, for some weird reason, you're interested in this (way more than humble) "game" (It's not even past the beta), you can help by commenting if you find bugs or weird things or if you want to help with art or coding optimization! Also, since It's really hard to find any free music software, any composer would be a great help, but just advertising the game in any way is already a REALLY big help!
