So, im working on a fantasy world, and i have quite a few ideas and awesome plans... etc. etc... But, I CANT DECIDE ON A NAME!!!! I'm usually pretty good with names, but for some reason i just cant pick or decide on a good one! Any one i find or think of just doesn't sound quite right, description of world below: A world of drowning magic; Where some corners of the world still practice and thrive through magic, but most struggle. Sorcerers (thats the common name, few call still call them Wizards Mages or Warlocks, their great titles of the past) continue to grow fewer in numbers, and the few that are left struggle to find proper teachers. The world is adapting and finding ways to live without the perks of magic, as they used to. The now mostly magic-less kingdoms and cities are thriving and beginning to forget about the days of magic and wonder, and are moving on to a new age. No one really knows how, or when magic began to fade-happening seemingly overnight to most. The wars of the past are also being put behind most along with magic and sorcery; The wars having inflicted so much trauma and being won with the help of magic. Magical beasts and creatures (such as dragons, phoenixes', fairies'(and some i have invented) etc....) have mostly retreaded into the safety of forgotten places of sacred importance to magic; some still attempt to win back the trust humans and other races used to give them, when magic was at it's fullest. But the humans have turned their backs on magic allready, turning their minds to a new age.
wow that was long. Here are some categorized things about my world so its easier to know whats happening: NAME: ??? (comment with your ideas!!!) MAIN RACES: Humans, Elves, Hin (you might know them as halflings), also Dwarves, but they have mostly retreated underground after magic faded. OTHER RACES: In the olden days of this world, when magic thrived and peace dominated, other races such as; Gigantes' (giants), Satyrs, Centaurs, Nymphs, Gnomes etc... SCENERY/TERRAIN: Forests, fields, deserts, valleys, prairies, mountains, somewhat medieval (in a fantasy way) cities and kingdoms. OTHER: I was thinking maybe the name could be something like: Stygius, Kalor, or something, but please please share your ideas!!
