Instructions

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As you walk through your respective area, tense and unsettled, you stumble across a clearing with a large group of Pokémon. Some are glancing around as others murmur to each other. Still others pace back and forth or paw at the earth restlessly. What they have in common is that all of them look confused... and afraid. Why had they all gathered here? No one you ask seems to know, but it was as if you had all been drawn together by an unseen force or instinct. As you try to make sense of it all, the skies suddenly darken. Several panicked voices cry out, but you can't make out what they're saying. You look around and notice that a significant portion of the crowd has inexplicably collapsed, though to your relief you're somehow able to recognize that at worst they've only fallen unconscious. You become aware of your own physical state, like the very air is exerting pressuring on your body, on your mind and spirit. You suspect the unfortunate ones who have collapsed could not handle this pressure, though not all of them to the point of unconsciousness. The voices quiet back down to crowd murmurs as some examine the collapsed while others talk amongst themselves. There appears to be some hesitation to leaving the group, though you can hear the sounds of commotion not far from you. Some Pokémon have left the groups, whether to investigate or to seek someplace quieter to shelter in. You figure it would be safest for you not to leave the clearing alone, though perhaps whatever was happening would end up in this location eventually. As you ponder what to do, you find yourself interacting with another individual in the group... This is where the Dark Event begins. What will your group encounter? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Description
Please read and be mindful of the information on the "Final Discussion" project! There are some things I cover there that I do not include here but are important to know: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/871394314/ Important points: -Signups close on the night of July 12th!!! I will need a day to sort everyone for the event. -You must sign up while signups are open or YOU WILL BE UNABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE DARK EVENT. No exceptions.* *1 exception: If you asked to be notified and happen to sign up early enough tomorrow, I'll let you. -Characters must act logically and in-character as this event WILL BE CANON. -No more than two dark Pokémon can be assigned to each group. (Groups can/might consist of only light Pokémon, in which case you can use dark Pokémon NPCs as stand-ins if your group would like) -Hybrid designs must be original/given to you. (This is so that every character who attends is eligible for fanart) -You must stay in your assigned chains/regions! While you're allowed to stray from the clearing your characters start in,* you must stay in the Town region if you signed up for Town (for example) *Unfortunately in Forest 1 I have to keep Mist in the crowd for plot reasons TvT -You will be put in groups of ideally 6-8 people. -If not enough people sign up for a particular region, I will let you know so you can change it. -I'll be checking bios up until this closes! To sign up: -Give me *up to* four PotHS characters and the location you would like each of them to be in (minus the Dark Realm) and you will be assigned a designated chain for each that you will be able to RP in for the duration of the event (Up to two of your own characters can share the same chain, if desired) Same process as for the Test Run: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/866473012/ -Tell me your desired activity level for RP! Please do your best to commit to whichever one you sign up for. Don't take on more than you can handle! -High: You plan on checking RP chains at least once every 30min-1hr, post frequent responses, and/or post a lot of responses in short bursts. (You can notify other users when you need to leave for longer such as to sleep, work, etc.) These chains are likely to be more hectic/possibly stressful, but in return more is likely to happen in them. -Moderate: You plan on checking RP chains at least once every 1-3 hours, and post semi-frequent responses. Less stressful than high activity, and more likely to have more things happen in them than for low activity (but less than for high activity). -Low: You plan on checking RP chains at least once every few to several hours, and post infrequent responses. These chains would be the most relaxed/stress-free, but are likely to not have as much happen in them as in others. I'm somewhere between moderate and high I will be in two Forest chains and one Mountains chain (+may use a last character slot elsewhere if more people are needed)!
