The Dalon DN-120 is a long-range, wide-body passenger airliner that was developed and produced by Dalon. In the late-1970s, Dalon conceived several derivatives of the DN-90, its first airliner, and developed the DN-120 quadjet in parallel with the DN-110 twinjet. In January 1982, Dalon launched both designs with their first orders and the DN-120-200 took its maiden flight on 25 August 1986. It was certified along with the DN-120-300 on 22 October 1989 and both versions entered service in April 1991 with launch customers AirScratch and Lifthanser. The larger DN-120-400/500 were launched on 2 January 1993; the DN-120-500 flew for the first time on 14 April 1996 and entered service on 6 January 2000.
