ok- so im really tired and today is Mother's Day so I'LL TRY TO MAKE THIS AS QUICK AS POSSIBLE I PROMISE- so like many things, you may already know Scratch has plenty of problems both with its system and some parts of the community. while I personally don't like those negative sides of this site either, I'd say I'm not really as popular to receive as much of its "nonsense" as others (either that or I'm not very brave lol) but that doesn't mean I'm immune to it. recently I've been noticing some people remix my animation memes and while I wouldn't normally be against that, most of them ignore the fact that I myself remixed and that they could've remixed that instead. I would be somewhat empathetic if I changed some things, but I believe those that barely change anything from the original that would make them "remixworthy." with that being said, at least a majority of them they'd otherwise be perfectly fine, but for others... that's a whole other story. some have been straight up RECOLORING my work, most not even giving credit and possibly even claiming all the art as their own work. I'd say there was one exception with my UGH meme for April Fools Day (though that was probably just a coincidence-) at first I was okay with these things happening (albeit a bit uncomfortable) and even hearted some of them but as they continued to pop-up, I stopped and even thought of making a project about them but never seemed to bother until now. (NOTE: I am not trying to particularly target anyone here, it's just been bothering me for a while now) I don't mean to sound rude here (especially with, like I said earlier, the moderation system can be very biased at times), but it's starting to get on my nerves. so if you see a cool animation meme of mine you wanna do as well, pls check the original first (if any) and compare to see which one seems better to remix. also, you should NEVER recolor by default. even if you don't like how your own art style looks, it's better to be your authentic self than use someone's else, ESPECIALLY if you won't bother giving credit (I'd say the exception would be like meme templates n such, but even you should give credit to me if you do). so, is this just a psa and nothing else? well not really, from now on I'll try to add some "rules" telling ppl to not remix-remix nor recolor (or heck, change smth AT ALL, did I mention that yet?), though for other stuff like advertising I'm just thinking about unless some projects of mine get SUPER popular to the point where that happens-
