Happy Hanuman Jayanthi! Why is it celebrated? Telugu Hanuman Jayanti is an important festival celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of Lord Hanuman. It is celebrated in different states with various rituals based on their tithis. What are tithis? Tithis are different days in the telugu calendar which do not include numbers. They also mark the full moon and new moon days which are Pournami (full moon) and Amavasya (new moon). How do people celebrate the festival?
