Click cats to talk to them. ⇢ You earn/ lose points with the result of battles, having a mate (Streaksun or Rivershine), having kittens, becoming apprenticed, getting hurt, hunting (including butterflies, rabbits, birds), etc. 2. Use arrows and touch paw-prints to move around. click paw-prints if they don't work. 3. Press space to grow one moon older, and 'z' to sleep. (You start as a two-week-old kit). 4. Click (possibly multiple times) a bird or rabbit to hunt it. 6. When your mentor says you are ready to become a warrior/medicine cat go to Ashstar, the leader, and he will announce your apprenticeship is over. Note: when you are asked for your pelt color at the start if the game and you answer incorrectly or misspell something, for the rest of the game your character won't appear. 8. When a suspicious black rogue appears, click on it than fight it with keys 1-7 (some moves are much more effective than others!) Key 8 is for changing your kitten's pelt color (if you have one). Key 9 is for curing a sick cat and I believe only turns up at a specific request, once, after...the fox attack I think? GETTING A MATE AND KITS: Option 1: When you are a warrior, talk to Streaksun if you want a mate and one kit. Option 2: Talk to Rivershine if you want a mate and ONE kit. If you reject him the first time, and accept the after saying no a few times, he will ask you why you said no the first time. You have three options to choose from, but if you choose the first option -- I don't really want to be your mate -- he will get upset and won't talk to you anymore. You won't get to be his mate then. Option 3: If you accept Tuftfur's invitation to live in the twolegplace, you will be able to become mates with a cat who stands in front of the twoleg house, Berry, and have four kits. ______________________________ Commonly asked questions, answered ______________________________ Q. Is this a finished project? A. No, just complete enough to share. Q. Why do I grow bigger when I press space? A. You grow older a moon when you click space, so at six moons you'll be an apprentice. Q. Why won't my character appear? A. You must've typed wrong the color of your pelt. (Sorry there are so many options! Take the time to read them so you don't misspell) Q. How do I become deputy and leader? A. Talk to Ashstar. When you're leader, if you want to call a meeting go to the leader's tree place and press 'm' for the meeting. NOTE: be sure to type "yes" or "no" correctly. Also, when the rogue, Night, returns for a second time if your health goes to zero just keep pressing keys 1-7.
