Hi. uh. I did a thing. It's probably a bit difficult to follow, as it was mostly just me messing around with different backgrounds and effects. There is a bit of *lore* hidden in there, though I will not say which is lore and which is just me going "ooo! Color!" This took far too long, I put way too much effort into stuff like this, but it also looks kind of cool? I like it, I think. But I have to say, broken glass is h a r d to draw when you actually have reflection stuff going on. Anyways, I suppose this is a bit of an introduction to this lovely(?) gentleman. Though I would love to spill his secrets here, I would like to try using a more... dramatic approach. Now, dear Reader, keep in mind that the following is the public's Perception of this outcast. Rumors abound of his true Identity. Some are Truth Some are Lies Some are misled by a clever Disguise. He has no name, or so I've been told. So the townsfolk call him the Gravedigger, and keep far from his abode. But that doesn't stop curiosity, no, but was that ever the case? He's a wanderer, a traveler, who came here alone. He came in the dark of night, weakened by cold. No name, no past, he simply asked for a place to stay, far from those who shun the day. He was turned away, they say, and so he took up residence not far away. None knows where, in the forest, the ruin? The foreboding woods, the crumbling city? No other could survive in the wild, yet he still lives near the village. Showing his face only when a soul has departed, perhaps to feed on its fleeting life. He digs graves, that's how he got his name, but that is not how he gained local fame. They say he can command the dead, the restless spirits who instill such dread. Calm them, befriend them, even drive them to their grave. He's a ghost, they say, a lost spirit not yet aware of his own demise. He knows, they say, and he travels the world to bring solace to kindred souls who've been shrouded in lies. He's an eidolon, they say, the manifestation of the dead city's thought. He's a god, they whisper beside candlelight, the forgotten god of death, come to claim his wayward subjects. Why does he stay? He's cursed this town, or he's come to lift the curse. A catastrophe is coming, they say, and even he may not be able to keep it at bay.
