"Alright, people!" I called from up on my mom's shoulders. "You might be a little confused about what just happened." Everyone turned to look at me. "Ash!" Andrew exclaimed. I smiled at him. "Yes," I said, "And hopefully, so is everyone else here." "I'm okay!" Maya called. Everyone laughed, including me. "Well, I bet you all want to know what happened." "Yeah, so tell us!" Brittney called. "We're WAITING!" Bella added. "Well, to make a long story short, that new girl, Lynn, was an evil mirror demon from the shadow dimension. She knocked you all out, made a shadow army, and took over the world." I said. There was a moment of silence before Brittney burst out laughing. "Like that actually happened." She said. "IT did!" Emmy exclaimed, "My name is Emmy. I'm Ashy's sister." All the kids awwwed. "Don't aw me!" Emmy yelled. "I have had interdimensional fighting training since I was two." "So are you like an alien?" A kid with a robot t-shirt asked. "What?!" Emmy exclaimed, "Of course I'm not an alien, I'm human! I've fought aliens, though." The crowd oohed and ahhed. Emmy beamed with pride. I rolled my eyes, but smiled. "We've made sure that the demon has been trapped away forever." I said, "You don't have to worry." Then, to my surprise, everyone started cheering. "Hooray for Ash!" Amy called. "And Emmy!" Robot kid called. I grinned. No one had ever cheered me on before. "How does it feel?" Mom asked. "Amazing." I answered, "It feels amazing." The cheering was interrupted when the bell rang. Suddenly, reality came rushing back. "Alright, that's the bell!" I called., "Tomorrow, we pretend like this never happened. But for now...can we keep cheering?" Emmy and mom burst into laughter. I blushed before joining them. "What?" I said in between laughs. Andrew and Bee rushed up to me. "You're okay!" Andrew exclaimed. "I am!" I replied, hugging them. "And you are t! I'm so relieved!" I looked at Andrew and blushed. He did too. "And I just want to say...I'm so sorry." I added solemnly. They looked confused. "Sorry?" Bee said, "About what?" "About pushing you away." I said apologetically, "About keeping secrets. I'll try to be better." Suddenly, Andrew hugged me. "We like you just the way you are, Ash." He said. "We don't want you to change in any way." I smiled. "But were you really telling the truth up there?" Bee asked, "Did you really defeat a mirror demon?" I grinned. "I did!" I exclaimed, "I mean, I had help from Emmy and my mom and especially..." Then it sank in. "And Bill." I looked down. "Ash, what happened?" Andrew asked softly. "Where's Bill?" "He sacrificed himself to save us all. But now..." My voice cracked and Andrew wiped my tears away. "Hey, hey, Ash. It's okay. It's over now." He said. "He's gone." I cried softly. Andrew wiped my tears away again. "He died a hero." He assured me, "And we'll be here with you every step of the way." I sniffled and smiled. "Thanks, guys." I said."Thank you for always being there for me." "No matter what." Bee said confidently, "That's what friends are for." I met Andrew's eyes. My mind drifted back to the moments before his shadow was taken. How he..."Ash!" Emmy called, interrupting my daydream. "Is this your-" "BE QUIET!" I yelled, and everyone laughed. I smiled. These were the people I trusted. These were true friends. And now that Lynn was gone, nothing would keep us apart.
