The main characters are kids and try investigating the phenomenon (like Earthbound), but their choices affect the course of time, as they can choose to kill, interact with, or avoid enemies (kinda like Undertale, but you can choose to only avoid enemies, which will affect things...). The battle system is similar to Undertale with the dodging mechanic, but there is no box restricting your movement, you see your character instead of a heart, and it has a more real-time element (basically the battle is an active time battle). Turns are non-existent; instead, your ATB meter charges up for you to pick an action, which includes either attacking, using an item, using a special attack called a Stamina Ability (credit to @linkplayer8026 for name) with MP, interacting (i.e., ACT), or switch out character (as you can only have one character out at a time like Pokémon). During this, your enemy will continuously attack, forcing you to balance decision-making and the fight for survival. Link to demo project of this concept: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/838021590/
