So you might have seen this: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/845758103/ I just whipped it up in a couple of seconds, to say goodbye to this site. However, I figured I might as well explain some things. I mostly have been using this site so that I can program at school since no engines I use (mostly Godot) run on the school laptop. It worked for a while, but to be honest, I am beginning to feel the scope creep, and most of my ideas just don't fit in Scratch, or even run on this laptop. I enjoyed the almost 7 years I spent on this site and all the people I met along the way. At the end of the day, they were the main thing keeping me on here. However, at this point, most of them have left, and the ones that haven't I can contact through other means. The rest of the community seems to have a lot of problems, and I am struggling to find any decent projects that aren't just fishing for clout. That isn't to say there aren't any, just that I can't seem to find them. Scratch provided an amazing way for me to practice game design and experience an amazing community, but I think my time has come. So, what about the projects I've been working on? I'll go through my plans with these one by one. Moonstone: This one had too much ambition, so it was tentatively canceled a long time ago. I might work on it in Godot during the summer or something. Kirby and the Star Key: I might wrap this one up or just post what I have left since it was a solo project, and I therefore can't entrust it to anyone else. If someone wants to pick up where I left off, though, let me know and I can send you the file and how I want it to go. Mega Man Imperium: I am entrusting this to the rest of the dev team. I have already given the story to @Nerd_Waddle_Dee, and I am entrusting him to lead the project from here on out. I might check my messages every now and then, so just ask any questions and I might respond within the month. No promises, though. Chibi-Robo: This was always just a tech demo. I had some ideas, but nothing too solid. Anyone can use what I made if they want to. All the other stuff: I have a bunch of unfinished projects I never shared, so I probably will do that and leave that to the world to do what they want with it. As for projects I did share but didn't reference here, that's up to the world too. Comics: I might actually finish these and post them since I want some art practice anyways, and I am working on them at home.
A massive thank you to all the people that made my stay here so much fun and memorable. (Friends and just people that inspired me) I will only list a few here, so please don't feel upset if I forgot to put your name down. I don't have enough space for all the wonderful people I met on this site. @-MarvelComics- | You were a huge inspiration for me to continue with my art when I had stopped, and also just a good friend. @Nerd_Waddle_Dee | I didn't know you for all that long compared to some other people on this list, but you were fun to talk to and collaborate with, and you always had good feedback. You are one person I can contact through other means, so this isn't really goodbye for you. I'll put you here anyways, though. The entire Scratch Mega Man Community | This isn't really one name, just so many I can't even list. Some that pop into my head are @Retrokid104, @MegaKidAxl, @SMAAASH67, @P_JScratch, @Quintboi, @cs3597494, and everyone else here https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/29976945/ @NeonQB | I know you won't see this since you are gone, but you were a great friend and a spectacular programmer. Hopefully, you go on to do amazing things elsewhere. @tigerlyan | I knew you in real life, and it was always fun to talk to you and work on projects here together. @BtStudios | My real-life brother. You're okay too I guess. @CodeKirby | Stellar programmer and game designer. Hope everything goes well with KCCR. And so many other people. Odds are, if you're reading this, you're one of them! I would appreciate any comments in this project as a memoir, and to see the names of anyone I didn't put here. Thank you all so much. This wasn't easy to do, but I think that I have been just floating around for too long, and with all that has happened, I think I should stop delaying this any longer. Goodbye. :)
