Hey guys, welcome back to my various prop making stuff! So you want to put a wax seal on your various letters and cards for friends, family, or teachers? You want to impress people? Sure, sure. Let’s get into it. I’m not endorsing you do this. Get an adult. You should be afraid of the fire. Don’t burn yourself like I did. It’s hot, very hot. GET AN ADULT. But if you do have the kit and an adult, here’s how to use it. So the wax seal kit I’m using is from the noble collection. (Harry Potter Ravenclaw seal) For your benefit I’ve already tried out a couple different methods, and I highly recommend the spoon/bowl over flame method. Don’t waste your time with the wick dripping method unless you really want to sit there with it. So because the kit I got has the wax candles with a wick in it already, I had my mom cut it into pieces and get put the wick. I used a coffee spoon-thing, but you can really use any deep spoon. I used a silicone handle on it, but you could really use any kind of potholder. I held this over a tea light for a while until the wax melted. You could get a thing to hold it over it for you or you could even use a regular candle to heat the spoon. After the wax turned to liquid I poured it out into a ‘lil circle on a silicone mat. I immediately put my stamp over it gently and waited 10-15 seconds. When I pick up the stamp the wax is stuck to it, so I carefully free the seal by pulling it off gently on each side. Now you have a seal. Yay. Then what I did is took out my envelopes, put a drip of hot glue on the fold, and slammed my ready-made seal onto it. Done. Now present it to your person and they will be wowed.
