Zander was the biggest jerk that was ever on Scratcher Island. After being banished he was captured by bounty hunters and was later rescued. He was heavily corrupted and now he wanders the caverns, trying to find help.
Credit to all including Zander since he wasn't really a bad person, just very toxic.
