"Good." Lynn said. "You made the right choice." She snapped her fingers, and the shadows released my mom onto the floor. "No!" Bill yelled. "Why would you do that, Ash?!" Mom exclaimed. Only Emmy grabbed my hand and looked up at me. "Ashy?" She asked, "Is everything okay?" Tears welled up in my eyes. "No, Emmy." I said, "Everything is not okay." I started crying. The world felt like it disappeared around me. I felt like such an idiot. This was all my fault! "Ash?" I heard Bill call, but I ignored him. Everyone I knew was gone...and it was all because I was so stupid. I trusted her. And then I set her free! I should've savored the time I had left with Emmy and Bill...and mom...I shut my eyes. The people I loved. But I had just pushed them away like I did with Bee. And now..."Everyone makes mistakes." I heard grandma's voice in my head. "But what about me?" I cried. I made the biggest mistake. I caused the end of the world. "It's up to you to fix them." Voice-grandma finished. I clenched my fists. I knew she was right. I felt around in my pockets for something that might help me defeat Lynn. Then my fingers brushed something cool and smooth. I grinned. "Hey, Lynn!" I yelled. Lynn turned her head to me. "Oh, you again." She said, "What do you want this time?" I held out a mirror- the same mirror she had been trapped in. "To defeat you once and for all!" As Lynn started to get pulled into the mirror, she screamed in horror. "NO!!! NO!!! No, Ash! Let me go! We could be a team! Rule the world side-by-side! US TWO! The unstoppable duo- come on, Ash, please!" I pretended to think about it. "No," I answered, "I don't think so." I grinned, but it was interrupted by Emmy. "DADDY!" She cried. I looked to the side, and to my utter horror, Bill was being sucked into the mirror too! "No!" I gasped, "This shouldn't be possible unless..." I met his eyes. They were filled with pain. "Unless you're a reflektion too." I finished. "THAT'S what Lynn was talking about." Tears welled up in Bill's eyes. "Yes." He said, "That is what she was talking about. That's why I could help trap other reflektions. That's why I could travel between worlds. I wasn't a special human, but a special demon." Bill's body was being sucked into the mirror, and I knew he only had a little time left. "I'm sorry, Emmy. I'm sorry, Katie. And most of all, I'm sorry, Ashlynn." Bill said, "I should've been a better father. A better father would've let you have the time and space you needed rather than crowding you like I did." "No," I said, "I should've been a better daughter to you." Bill was almost completely gone. "Time to say goodbye." My mom said gently. "Goodbye, daddy." Emmy said tearfully, "You were the greatest daddy in the entire history of daddys. I love you so much!" "And I love you too, Ems." Bill said. Then my mom stepped up. "You are such a kind, sweet person," Mom said, "After Tom died, you were there for me 24/7. I love you, Bill." "I love you too, Katie." Bill said, his voice cracking. "Goodbye." Finally, I went up and hugged what was left of Bill. "Goodbye," I whispered, "I love you...dad." Bill's mouth was gone, but his eyes shone with the pride of a father. I could practically hear him saying, "I love you too." With Lynn gone, the students had regained their shadows and their energy. They started to stand up. "What happened?" Brianna asked. "Where am I?" Bella added. "Is everyone okay?" The teacher asked. As exclamations of confusion and surprise echoed out in the hall, my mom looked at me. "Well," she said, "We have a bit of cleaning up to do."
The final stand against Lynn. Kind of coincidental that the Gravity Falls finale was 4 parted too...or is it? Previous: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/842362371/ Next: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/847199257/
