So...these last four weeks have been stressful to say the least. As some of you may already know, I am a freshmen student from Mexico currently in the United States, and the events of March 27th affected my community greatly. My school was on a code red lockdown, and roughly twenty minutes into lockdown the notification came through about the events in Nashville. I was terrified out of my mind, literally expecting death. In the weeks since, I have been working towards overcoming feelings such as this, but the whole situation made everything so much worse. To put it simply, my home life is a disaster, my stress levels (both academically and socially) are off the charts and I cannot handle the internet anymore. I tried to come back three weeks ago (just a week after my hiatus) and was so physically sickened by the idea of everything that I couldn't do it. On top of this, art, my main coping mechanism, has been a difficulty for me. I have not had access to my drawing tablet for a couple weeks prior to my hiatus, but recently got it back. This is the first drawing I made with it, I'm not sure if I should provide context or not but for now that's a no. For those of you asking for part 4 of Transparent, I would love to work on it but my motivation is all over the place recently and having people asking for it over and over again adds stress to the project, making me not want to work on it. I thank you for being patient with me, but sadly the comic will be on hiatus until further notice because of this. I hope you understand. On a bit of a lighter note, here are some good things that happened to me this past month: - My jazz band (all freshmen) went to state and placed first with a 1 rating - I got the solo on our jazz concert last week, and my band mom came to support me <3 - Went to state for sight reading in concert band, got a 1 on the floor and a 1 for sight reading - Spring play was a success :) - EOC's last week and this upcoming week but i'm pretty confident in my ability to do those I'm really glad to be back guys.
