= Blueberry'Memory : Nighttime - Morning = Moonlight shimmered into my vision as I opened my eyes. Where was I? I looked around. A camp. A camp! I blinked, peering into the darkness. It looked like BonsaiClan, with its signature curvy trees and mud-brick dens. I grinned, craning upward to get a better view, then instantly wincing. My back hurt /a lot/. Burning pain seared through my spine as I hissed. "Oh! Ellie! Oh Starclan, are you okay?" My ears perked up, newfound hope coursing through my body. Leo! "Y- yeah, I think..." I whispered, turning my head to find xem. Xyr black pelt was hard to spot in the inky night, but as soon as I laid eyes on xem, my whole outlook brightened. Leopard'Caster was alive! "Ah, thank goodness... I was afraid you wouldn't make it out, sweetheart," xe replied, xyr soft voice numbing my injuries for the moment, "We're taking you back to camp, okay? Then everything will be perfect." I nodded, closing my eyes yet again to take a nap. -- I woke in the warrior's den in the morning with Leopard'Caster nestled in my fur. I smiled. Xe were so beautiful and cute... "Oh! Berrygurl, you're awake!" xe exclaimed happily, "I wanted to talk with you." I blushed. Could it be the /question/? The conversation that I'd been waiting for? I imagined what I would say. I paused, taking a deep breath. "Y- yeah. I mean, yes!" I cried excitedly, "I mean- s- sure! Go ahead!" Xe gave me a weird expression, xyr cheeks turning a shade closer to red. "Haha,, he... uh, yep. Anyway, though..." xe started. Silence. "I just wanted to say that we've drifted so far apart... and I like youuuurrrrr... company," Leo explained pensively, "You make me feel young. Even though I feel really old... I'm better to myself around you." "... I- I... yeah. I feel the same way... around you..." I murmured, blushing. "Yeah. Remember when you saved me from the river?" "Hah... nope..." "Aww, stop being so modest! You were great," xe complimented, giggling, "... y- you still /are/ great, too." "It's kind of like what you did last night. You saved /me/," I pointed out, "Kind of like... payback!" The pitch-colored cat smirked in response, showing xyr sharp canine teeth. I laughed, causing Leopard to snort. "You are /so/ awesome, Ellie," xe mewed between giggles, "I love you." A few seconds later, xe buried xyr face in xyr paws, xyr black face erupting into pink and xyr tail standing on end. I wasn't much better off. I stared at xem, blushing hard. That was a fluke... right? "I... uh..." I stammered, racking my brain for something to say, "I- I... d- ditto?" Another pause ensued before Leopard'Caster looked up. Xyr expression was blank surprise. Xe shook xyr head, clawing xyr cheek before looking again. Xe looked like xe were about to cry. "You... uh..." Leo whispered, "You... you do? I mean-" I smiled, tears starting to drip down my face. "Of course I do. You're beautiful and smart and perfect... I..." "I love you so much, Blueberry'Memory." "I love you, too." = Leopard'Caster : Nighttime = "So... Elleo is a thing, huh." I looked up at Blueberry'Memory, replying, "Yeah, I suppose. If you want it to be." "Well, I mean... yeah! I would want nothing less," she responded, tucking some of her fluffy blue-grey fur behind her ear, "It's official." "It's official," I repeated, blinking a few times. This didn't seem real. Ever since apprenticehood, I'd known that I'd loved her. I had a feeling it would be the same for her. Ever since kithood, we were friends. We were inseparable, always getting in trouble together... playing mossball... I snuggled into her fluffy pelt, using it as a blanket. I'd been doing this for a while now, too, as I didn't have much fur. "Goodnight, sweetie," I muttered, my eyes blinking shut. "Sweet dreams, comrade," Ellie whispered, "...or enbyfriend? Or spouse? What are we now?" "Nothing's changed, Berrygurl," I replied, "Now, let me get some sleep, mkay...?" She lowered her head to rest on top of mine, closing her eyes. "Aw, you're just not getting into the mood..." she murmured, "...Goodnight, Official Leopard'Caster." = end = This is basically a kinda character dynamic idea. The characters are Leopard'Caster (whom Ellie calls 'Leo' (xe/xem)) and Blueberry'Memory (whom Leo calls 'Ellie' or 'Berrygurl' (she/her)). They are very cool. They're also from my wc clan gen challenge. floof
