"You!" Lynn exclaimed in rage, "How are you here?! This shouldn't be possible! I got you! I got your shadow!" I smirked. "Did you, though?" I said smoothly, "Because I seem to have my shadow right now. Don't get so cocky, Lynn." "I GOT YOU I GOT YOU I GOT YOU!!!" Lynn raged. "I don't get how this is possible! I WON! I WON I WON I WON!" "Hey, Ashy?" Emmy whispered, "Why is she throwing a temper-tantrum?" I tried so hard to keep that laugh in, but I mean...she was right. "I think she's just a little bit mad because she lost." I told Emmy. "Ohhhh." Emmy said, "But daddy taught me not to be a sore loser. Does she not know that? You're supposed to be nice when you lose, like "good game!" Why isn't she doing that? That's mean." Emmy pouted and I giggled softly. "Listen, reflektion, your time is over!" Bill shouted. "You might have thought you won, but my daughter is stronger than you think. Stronger than you will ever be!" Lynn's frown slowly turned into a smirk. "Is that so?" She said, smiling a sinister smile. "Then what would your sweet, strong daughter- who doesn't even really think of herself as your daughter- do if she knew your big...secret?" Bill froze as Lynn smiled, triumphant. Emmy looked just as confused as I felt. I turned to Bill. "Bill?" I asked, "What does she mean?" "Daddy?" Emmy said, heartbroken. The poor girl. All her life she's been living with Bill only to find out he had some big, life-changing secret. Bill looked down and Lynn laughed. "Whoopsies! Did you not tell your beloved daughters?" Lynn said, "Looks like you didn't. Too bad, so sad." "Daddy, what does she mean?" Emmy cried. "I'm sorry, Ems." Bill said quietly. "I was going to tell you-" He slowly looked up and saw the extremely angry, betrayed glare I was giving him. He looked down again. "-BOTH of you. But I just didn't know how to tell you guys, and I thought that maybe if I didn't tell you you would like me, and I just...I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry." Bill finished. "But what IS your secret?" I asked, realizing that we didn't know that yet. "How could it be so big that it changes this entire battle? No secret is that big." Bill looked up at me again, and I saw how truly tired and sad his eyes were. "This one is, Ashlynn." He said softly. "This one is." "Then what is it?!" I yelled, "What secret could be so big that you couldn't tell either of your daughters that you claim to love so much?!" "I..." Bill started, "I'm...I..." "BORE-ing!" Lynn interrupted, "Listen Billy-boy, if you're not going to tell them, then that's fine I guess, whatever. Reeeeally don't care. But for real, I have a schedule to take over the world, and your heartbreaking confession is going into my domination time. So I'm just going to press the skip button, and go shadows! Bring me Kathrine Thomas." The shadows sped out the door as Bill, Emmy, and I hung our mouths in shock. "That's mommy." Emmy said. "She's going to get mommy." Lynn grinned. "Oh yes it is." She said, "With Kathrine in my hands, I will be unstoppable!" "How?" I said, confused, "She's not important." "Oh, but you are." Lynn said, grinning. "And you wouldn't dare attack me when I have your mom." At that moment, the shadows dragged my mom into the room. "Ash? Emmy? Bill?" She yelled, "What's going on?!" We exchanged a nervous glance. "So," I started, "Grandma and Bill are sort of inter-dimensional demon hunters, and grandma died containing one, and then I found that one and she manipulated me into freeing her, and now she's kind of, y'know, taking over the world." "WHAT?" My mom screamed. "Why didn't you tell me any of this?!" "I'm sorry, Katie." Bill said. "Mommy?!" Emmy exclaimed. "MOMMY!!! Are you okay?" Mom opened her mouth to speak, but Lynn interrupted her. "She won't be, unless you three surrender." Lynn growled. "We'll never surrender!" Bill exclaimed. Lynn extended a hand towards mom. "I'm fine!" Mom exclaimed, "You need to save the world!" "Quiet!" Lynn barked. "What's your choice?" I looked between Bill, Emmy, and mom. "Don't let her win!" Mom exclaimed. I looked down. "So, what'll it be?" Lynn said, "Your mom, or the world?" A tear slipped down my cheek. Bill, Emmy, Mom, and Lynn all looked at me expectantly. I raised my hands. "Alright." I said. "I surrender."
