"Ash. Ash dear." A gentle voice woke me up. Wait...I know that voice! "...grandma?" "Hello, Ash." My grandma's kind face greeted me for the first time in years. I leapt up and hugged her, tears streaming down my face. "I missed you." I said. "I missed you too." Grandma said. But something felt off. I pulled away. "This isn't real, is it?" I said. "I remember now. Someone pushed me down. I must've hit my head." Grandma shook her head. "That part was real. Put just as real as I am here." She said. "But you're dead!" I exclaimed. Grandma smiled. "In your dimension, yes. I suppose I am dead. But sealing the reflektion in the mirror was a sacrifice I had to make." "Reflektion? Sealing it?" I said, confused. Grandma laughed. "I'll explain it to you. The reflektion is a being that can shapeshift into anyone. It comes from the shadow realm and the only way for it to break free is to have the mirror it's currently in is broken." She looked at me. "They make you think it's your friend. Then they try to manipulate you. I thought the reflektion would be safe with you...but you let it out, didn't you?" I nodded. "That's not good." Grandma said. "Why not?" I asked. "Because the Reflektion can suck out people's own reflection. It basically creates a shadow clone. It also drains the person's energy. It can be very dangerous. But it can only do this in your dimension." "Are we in the shadow dimension right now?" I asked. "No, no." Grandma said, "This is the dream dimension. Anyways, I sealed a reflektion in the mirror I gave you. It had been feeding off me for years, but I finally learned the truth. I sealed it inside the mirror, in case you found it." "How do I defeat Lynn?" I asked. "All you have to do is-" Suddenly, grandma sort of...glitched. She disappeared and then reappeared. While she was flickering, I heard someone say "Ash?" As my grandma flickered back, I quickly grabbed her. "What's going on?!" I said. "You're waking up in your dimension." Grandma said. The flickering became more constant. "Listen Ash, to-reflektion-find-Bill!" Grandma was flickering so hard, I could only make out some of her words. But the last three were clear: "I love you!" "Ash!" I woke up with a start. Bee was leaning over me. Andrew was in the corner talking with the nurse. Amy was in the corner looking guilty. "You're awake!" Bee cried. I smiled weakly. "What happened?" "I...accidentally ran into you while trying to get to class." Amy admitted. "Maya and I were racing. I turned back to laugh at her, and ran into you. You kinda..." I looked around. I was in the nurse's office! "Oh, you're awake!" Andrew said, taking Bee's spot on top of me. "Give the girl some space!" Bee laughed. I blushed as my hand breifly brushed Andrew. "Hey, Ash," Amy started, "Do you have a crush on-" "No I don't!" I interrupted. "I'm sorry..." Amy mumbled. "For that and pushing you." "Don't worry, I'm all good." I told Amy. "And so are you." "Thanks." Amy said, smiling a bit. "I bet we should get back to class." Andrew said. "You're right." Bee agreed. As we were walking, Bee pulled me over. "Hey, you seem different today," Bee said, "happy almost. You just seem a lot more upbeat than before. Has something happened?" "Erm..." I said, but Bee interrupted. "Are you taking a new medicine? You know what, I bet that's it. Well, I'm just saying. I like seeing the happy you again. It's nice." I smiled. Before we were going in, Andrew pulled me over. "Hey, listen, Ash..." he said, "I've been thinking. About last night." "It was nice." My mouth blurted. Stupid mouth! Andrew smiled. "I'm...glad you think so." He said. "Listen Ash...I like you. Like, like-like you." This hit me harder than it should've. He liked me? My dumb cliche heart started pounding. But I chose to shrug it off with a simple "I know." Andrew gasped. "You KNOW? But how?! You know what? It was Peyton. Peyton did it! I knew I could never trust him with a secret, ughhhh- but he seemed so nice and trustworthy! How could he do this to me?" I laughed. "You made it kind of obvious." I said. "Well then, Ash..." Andrew said, "Do you like, want to hang out again sometime?" My heart started pounding. After all this...I think I did like Andrew. "Andrew..." I said. He sighed. "That's a no. I knew it!" He said. "No! I'd love to." I said. He perked up. "Really?" "Yes, really!" I said. I opened my mouth to say something, but it was interrupted by screams. Amy's screams. Andrew and I ran towards the sound, when we stopped. We had arrived at our classroom. And standing there, in front of a bunch of laying bodies, was Lynn. She looked at me with blazing red eyes and smiled. "Hello, Ash."
