The Ats Security Team is a private security contractor group under the guidance of Ats Corporation. The security group specializes in the protection of all Ats Corporation, BOB TECH and allied sites, and has access to high powered weaponry and tactical equipment to protect Ats Corporation's interests. Standardized uniforms consist of a blue jumpsuit, CRA Light Vest, holster and helmet/cap. Rapid Response Unit uniforms consist of a digital urban camouflage BDU jumpsuit, Frontline armor vest, knee-pads, single tube night vision goggles, gloves, baton and headset. ERT outfits consist of a Woodland Camouflage BDU, Raider vest, holster and bandanna (optional but recommended.) There are three divisions: Special Defense Group- Division that contains the elite Emergency Response Teams, which are small "special operations" well armed and armored squads likened to SWAT teams that are tasked with providing fire support to other teams, armed response and securing sites when deemed necessary. ERT teams (such as Specter-2) are assigned to BOB TECH sites for BOB TECH's personal discretion. Security Operations- Team that contains all security guards not affiliated with the SD or RRU teams (Karen is part of the SO team.) Out of all guards, you'll see these officers at every site protected by the AST. Slang for SO officers, by other personnel is "Barney/Barnies," from the 1998 game Half-Life, which features the fictional Black Mesa Security Team, which is visually similar to SO officers. Rapid Response Unit- Team that contains the elite Rapid Response Units, which are centered around mobility (parkour,) martial arts (Individual Takedown Maneuver,) and apprehension. RRUs are dispatched usually one agent at a time, as individual agents have been known to single-handedly contain incidents at sites. In rare cases, RRUs are deployed in teams, but this is only for extreme situations. A nickname for RRU agents are "Cloaker/cloakers," due to them being extremely similar to the Cloakers of the fictitious 2013 game Payday 2.
