If you're reading this, here's a little update: Over the past few months, I've begun to lose more interest in Scratch and making projects on here as a whole. I just don't enjoy it as much as I used to, which is the entire point of doing it as a hobby. This is also pretty common, but Scratch's community and guidelines just aren't really for me. In my time on the platform, I've gotten one project banned and another blocked for basically no reason. This has especially been a problem for Scratchers with more followers (because of the huge amount of 8 year-old's mass reporting). Another issue I’ve found with Scratch is how hard it is for new Scratchers to get popular. Basically the only two ways in this current state to get noticed are to be featured by the Scratch Team (which is unlikely), or to get on Trending, which is a big factor in all the spamming and resharing some Scratchers do for attention. My follow count’s been in a limbo of 380-400 for the past 2 years, which I haven’t really had a problem with, though I could see it as demotivating to some people. Another problem’s been the expectations of my animation series, “Framed”. I haven’t worked on Episode 1 in over a month, and don’t really intend to anytime soon, due to a lack of interest to actually finish the series. Though Episode 1’s script is finished, too many cast members have gone inactive to actually finish animating it to fit the original vision. So, we come to the main question, am I leaving Scratch? To put it simply, no. But I’m probably gonna end becoming way less active. Scratch just isn’t for me anymore, and that’s fine. I’ve taken more interest lately in doing things outside of Scratch, such as the sketches I’ve made (some of which I’ve shared on Scratch). So for now this is probably goodbye, but I’ll still try to check my messages every now and then.
