Now, in case you haven't noticed, Luigi's sprite in Super Mario Maker 1 and Super Mario Maker 2 are different. The SMM1 sprite is slightly darker with a slight blue coloring. The SMM2 sprite is basically Mario's sprite again, but the colors match Mario more.
The SMM2 sprite was also used for Nintendo's logo for The Super Mario Bros Movie. Mario's sprite hasn't changed at all, though. He remains the same in both games.
