This is outdated. Refer to this: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/33035214/ This is the first part of the development updates. I'll make more when future developments come along. Turn on some music and take a dive into the progress of SUPER SMASH BROS. GOLD! As of right now, development is on track, but depending on whether or not devs have the time, it could fall off track. JeffyJeff is on track to have the bio art done soon, and once he's finished with the bios, it's likely I'll write them and that portion of development will be wrapped up. I'll probably get that done next holidays (Early July). He's done around 30-40~, so once some of them get some slight changes and the remaining ones are made, I can write the bios. (I write the biography descriptions, he does the art. Think SSB64.) The soundtrack is complete, thanks to both Scratchers and YouTubers alike. There are 54 total music tracks. There are 18 victory themes in development- all will be made by @Maluyuu . Two have been made as of now. Other SFX and characters voices aren't too much of an issue. Mellenium_Hyperion is currently on board to create an opening for the project. It has not entered development in any regard, and will only enter development when the project get far enough. It's the other stuff that's a little lacking. Since everyone is often busy, schedule isn't much of a thing. It's more of a 'if you get the time, then do it ASAP' sort of thing. Sekiyo's fighter portraits have not re-entered development, but they it's clear he'll make a couple soon. He is one of my most reliable developers, along with JeffyJeff and similar to Jeffy, has been around for a very long time. He's currently done 5/20 - one quarter. I have no current plans for portraits after that, although I suppose some portraits for cut characters or an original commentator character would be interesting. Spybaz is currently developing Mario and Kirby in the new development engine. I'm not too sure what it will look like, but I think it's clear to him what I want out of the project. He shows great interest, but his talent does take time. I am a little worried he'll get disinterested in the project the more characters get made, but I have faith in his abilities- there'll be a point where he'll be used to character dev and a 20 character goal will only become easier to meet. Popcornkid9 has resigned after creating his 14th stage. I plan to re-design 'Menu' (Stage), so that means 15 of the 20 stages have been made. The other 5 will be created by someone else. Anyone else isn't as relevant as of right now, which leaves one person. Me! Music, Bios, Proper Crediting and other Menu elements will be put into development within the next few months. There'll come a point where everything is complete (except Spybaz's stuff) and I can implement all the content (except Spybaz's stuff) into the project. When I say "the project could be done before 2024", that's what I mean. It means the only thing I need to focus on is the gameplay and the implementation of said gameplay. Anyway, that's it for now...
This is outdated. Refer to this: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/33035214/ Music: Menu 1 (SSBB Medley - NoteBlock) [Note: Thanks for letting me use your music NoteBlock! Is suits the vibe well.] Summary: Project is over 50%, and is on track to be done by the end of the year. This excludes... - Character / Engine development - Implementation of content. Will be done preferably when everything is made. (It makes my job easier...) This also includes refining the menus.
