I get out of my bed, and check for any mosquitoes in my small room. There is one, which I hit with the flyswatter. I grab a towel and some clothes and go to the bathroom. After I take a quick shower, I brush my teeth and change. I go into the small kitchen and greet my mom. “Suprabhat,” I say to my Amma. “Suprabhat, '' she replies, setting down the dosa pan and giving me a hug. I take a dosa and some vegetables and sit down. When I finish eating, I start studying. I have my whole day planned out. I start with some math, which makes me almost fall asleep. Then, I read some books in Hindi, Telugu, and English. I’m not very good at English, but I’m getting better. After that, I go for a walk outside. Everything in India is changing. The once-luscious jungles are now huge cities, and everything is way more expensive. I look at what used to be the jungle, and see people cutting down trees. My mom tells me there’s nothing to worry about, but I still wonder what would happen to all the animals and things like that (science isn’t my best subject). But whenever I ask, my mom waves it off, says “They’ll find somewhere else”. But what if… they don’t?
