About a week ago my uncle passed away due to a stroke, there was nothing the doctors’ and us could do. It was hard to understand this, how could he really be gone, wouldn’t he be here for Christmas again? Wouldn’t I see him smiling across the table during family dinner? His funeral was today…and then after the funeral we got another call….my great Grandfather was gone…it all felt like a movie, like this couldn’t possibly be real. I’ll wake up and they’ll both still be here, but deep inside I can feel the truth…they’re both gone now, I’ll never see them on Earth again. As I thought back on memories of my Great Grandfather there’s one thing I’ll always remember. Every time I’d see him he’d always say this “How’s the prettiest girl around?” I’ve been struggling with self confidence and hearing this always helped me so much. If he’s somehow seeing this, I want you to know, you and Uncle ____ I loved you two dearly.
