Don’t worry, there are no spoilers. Also, it would be cool if they made a Luigi’s Mansion movie, with Mark Hamill playing King Boo.
I just watched it and it is absolutely everything you could want from a Mario movie. There are iconic characters that aren’t in it, but with how much they were able to fit into the movie, it’s completely fine! Especially since some important Mario characters at least get cameos, possibly hinting at their possible importance later on. The movie, at first seems like it will just be a generic movie plot, which it is, but they do it so well, I honestly don’t care that the plot is so simple. It’s Mario! Simple plots is commonplace. Plus, there are a few plot elements the make the plot WAY less generic. And the music, it’s AMAZING! Orchestral versions of practically every well liked Mario song, and they all are used so naturally, that non of it seems forced. Also, Chris Pratt as Mario, done very well, and they even explain the lack of Italian accent in the movie! The Toads: They’re all wonderful and not annoying. Princess Peach: Not just a damsel in distress. Both of the two listed things were things I was worried about not being true, but they are! I can’t say any more about the movie without accidentally spoiling, so… Final verdict: Better than the new D&D movie (surprisingly). 9/10. Watch it immediately!
