! keep the volume high or you won't hear anything ! ♥ ♡ ♥ ♡ ♥ ♡ ♥ ♡ ♥ ♡ ♥ ♡ ♥ ♡ ♥ i haven't done these in a while eee i rlly love these designs sm these moodboards you made are amazing pastry! i have had this character's design concept for a while, and after i saw the moodboards, i thought that they would suit her pretty well! ----------------------------------------♡ here is a little about her: ♥ her name is shinju ♥ she/her ♥ she is a fairy, but she can turn into a mermaid (yes, both of these designs are the same character) ♥ as a mermaid, she is known as marina pearl, she was given that name by tai and the other mermaids, because they don't know her real name, they don't even know she actually is a fairy. ♥ a very good and skillful dancer ♥ not very good at using her magic --------- shinju is an ordinary fairy. she wields magic, and very much like all of the other fairies in her kingdom, she is a very skillful and graceful dancer. but one thing that makes her a little different from the other fairies is that she isn't good at using her magic. every time she tries to cast a spell from her wand, it always turns out to be the opposite of what she wants. this has led to some other fairies to be skeptical of her in general, despite her meaning well. one day, as she was trying to turn a flower into seashells out of her curiosity, she accidentally turned herself into a mermaid. given that she was in the air, and when she turned into a mermaid, she was unable to fly. shinju ended up tumbling down from her location and landed into the crystal oceans. afraid of what happened to her and having no idea of where she was, she decided to look for a way out and explore the ocean, as she has never been there before. after a while, even though she enjoyed looking around the ocean, she was able to find where the shore was. but as shinju was about to head back, she was approached by another creature. his appearance was mostly humanoid, but his lower torso was made of water. "are you new around here?" shinju had no idea what to say, "uhhh...no?" "what is your name then?" "uhhh,...", she drew a blank. "oh, i have an idea! i'll call you marina pearl! you know, because of all of the pearls that you have on you, i must say that it looks very pretty!" "oh. uh, thank you! and who might you be?" "my name is tai. i am the messenger of the mermaid kingdom's leader. also, i had to ask you if you were new around here because we have noticed that fairies were entering our kingdom." shinju looked tense, "and, what's wrong with that?" "listen marina. everything is wrong with fairies entering our kingdom. our respective leaders HATE each other. i'm not sure why, but they do."
