Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip. The water forms a puddle inside our cave. "It wasn't always like this, ya know." I hear a voice say from the dark. "Like what?" I reply. "It wasn't so, miserable." "Huh that's hard to believe." I snort. As long as I have remembered life has been like this, dreary and miserable. "Don't be so pessimistic, Amber! You know everyone was so happy when you were born! They saw you as a good sign! That things would get better, and I'm sure it has!" "Your sure things got better? To me things have only got worse since she was born." Says another voice from the dark "Oh, shut up Eclipse." I mutter. "Both of you shut up and go to bed!" ════ ⋆★⋆ ════ "Get up." An espeon says from above me. "What do you want." "Oh, come one! Are you STILL salty about last night?" Eclipse says while circling me. "I mean I was only telling the truth! Before you were born, we weren't living in an ugly cave! We were just fine! Our village hadn't been destroyed by- well you know who!" "Well, at least this cave isn't as ugly as your face!" I spat back. "You can't be talking! Anyways, I came here to tell you that breakfast is ready." She says while storming off. I get up, we weren't always like this. We used to get along... Sometimes... That was before it destroyed the village. I was never allowed to know its name, because if you even said it in the quietest whisper, you put yourself and everyone you know on the line. That's how my old village got destroyed, someone said its name, and it was all over. Before you could even process what happened, fiery bombs exploded from the sky, scorching everything and everyone in sight. It was scaring. I was only born a week before and I still have nightmares... Imagine how bad it is for the rest. We were among the few who got out. I wouldn't say safely, and we weren't unscathed either, mentally, or physically. I shiver, I don't want to think about it. As I stroll into the entrance of our cave we dubbed 'the kitchen' I noticed something was off. it looked normal, a grumpy espeon sitting on the ground, and stressed leafeon crushing berries on a small stone. I take my place next to Eclipse. Briar was the first to speak. "So, are you both still angry with each other?" I grumble a response. "Okay... well good enough." She knows trying to fix this will not end well for anyone. Briar puts some crushed up berries on the floor in front of us. "Well eat up! We don't have all day!" She says a little to energetically for my liking. We eat, slowly, in an awkward silence. Then an unfamiliar voice breaks the tension. "Um- hello? Dose a-a leafeon, a espeon, and-d a-a-a eevee live here?"
