In the Shadow of Scarlet, Toxinese troops capture 3 Bassanoian divisions and shockingly execute almost all of the soldiers afterwards. The divisions entering the Shadow of Scarlet wheel back around to turn on the Bassanoian soldiers flanking them, and suddenly it is the Bassanoians who have been trapped. Meanwhile, there are mass desertions on the western front with Blark, as many civilian soldiers realize they can be free if they flee to nearby Blark. Due to this, the capital (Pa'aligrad) is in sight, and Pa'al Jovemi takes things to drastic measures - he claims that if there is not white peace within one (IRL) hour, he will resort to using the entirety of the PRNT's nuclear arsenal to annihilate the Shadow of Scarlet and its citizens. The nuclear arsenal is believed to be split across multiple cities closer to the center of the country, with the most nukes being stored in the capital itself.
