The Twin Towers were one of the most iconic symbols in New York City until September 11, 2001, when two hijacked planes crashed into the buildings, killing more than 2,500 people. Disclaimer: There ARE mistakes in this slideshow. Some pictures, such as the 1980 and the 1984 ones, were not taken at the year that they were mentioned in. However, I have neither the will nor the time to fix it as I am extremely busy (middle school 3/24/2024).
