Instructions

Position the object as desired, and press the flag Two zooms available Press space to place the object at a specific location Mode 0 is concave mirror, Mode 1 is a convex mirror

Description

For Zoom = 1, Green is the center, red is the focus. The center is located at (0,0) the focus is located at (90,0), and the radius of the circle is 180 The virtual rays converge outside the mirror when 90 < Location of object < 175 Notice how the three rays NEVER converge whenever 0 < Location of object < 90 However, the real rays seem to converge when -175 < Location of object < 0 When the object is between the center and the focus, the closer it is to the focus, the further the three rays are from converging. When it is on the focus, it creates parallel light rays. (The blue line can be ignored since no light would actually travel through the object from the top of the object.)
