Blaze was taken. Taken at 10:00. Her breath seemed to cut short and she seemed to float. The only thing that seemed to take her mind off was that Forrest was exchanging glances with her. The Forrest she liked. Lily and Cae exchanged a glance. Cae made a heart out of her fingers and Lily silently giggled. Dana pretended to hit Cae. The bell rang. Dana jumped. She didn't know that it was time for lunch. Lily got up and straightened her glasses before picking up her backpack and gesturing to Cae, Dana, and Amber. Dana led the way with Amber next to her. Cae was just behind Amber, while Lily trailed behind them, her eyes on her books. Dana, Amber, and Cae sat down at one table, and it was immediately crowded with people. Lily just gazed at them for a moment before heading to an empty table near the corners. Dana felt a pang of sympathy tug her, but she just turned away. Amber and Cae were chatting and Dana sneaked a glance at Forrest and Lily. Forrest was talking with the other boys and Lily was quietly chewing on a sandwich. Dana blinked, not taking her eyes off Forrest. Amber looked at Dana. "Why didn't you sit next to me at the bus today?" she asked. Dana scratched her head. "Sorry," she said. "I wanted some peace," Amber laughed. Cae nodded. "You are a bit of a chatterbox," she said affectionately, nudging Amber. Amber swatted Cae and laughed again. Dana laughed, forgetting where she was. But then she stopped, remembering there were kids all around her. "Give us some peace, will ya?" she asked the kids. "Yes ma'am!" the kids said as they walked off. Amber clapped her hands together. "We should set Dana up with a date with Forrest!" she announced quietly. Cae sat up. "Yes!" she cried. Dana groaned, but she was smiling. Blaze was edging toward the back of her mind. But she stopped there. Dana wouldn't let herself forget Blaze. "Guys," she said. "I have news," Amber and Cae turned their attention to her. "Blaze was kidnapped. Taken at 10:00," Cae's eyes widened and Amber gasped, covering her mouth. "KIDNAPPED?!" Amber cried, startling all the kids. "Uh, nothing!" Cae winced at the word kidnapped. Lily looked up from her book, but she looked back down at it. Amber shook her head, refusing to believe what Dana said. But she sighed, knowing it was useless. Cae clapped her hands together. "It's useless. But for now, let's set Dana up with her date!" Amber glanced at Lily. "I feel bad leaving her out," she admitted. Dana blinked. She felt bad too, but Lily was so quiet and shy, she wouldn't do much. Maybe she was a bit mentally deranged, but still, not much use. "So, here's the plan..."
