Instructions

----------------------------MUST READ!-------------------------- Welcome to Beat Battle Bash! In this game, different video game characters encounter each other via a mysterious void and fight in intense rhythm battles. Today, you will be playing as Ness and will be fighting Papyrus. The cool thing about this is that the fight has different endings too! Important Note!: -This game is a real-time RPG battle, so the enemy will be continuously attacking! Also, this battle has intense, fast Undertale-style attacks, so I suggest playing this only if you have experience with Undertale, Hollow Knight, Deltarune, or other games like that. They are mostly in time to the music, if that helps. -This battle is 100% possible! I playtested it and while pretty difficult, the battle is not impossible. -You will be able to complete an action after the ATB bar(that meter in the top right corner) charges up and turns yellow. So, remember, it takes time to charge up for an action. -Once the song ends, the battle ends and Papyrus leaves. So, you didn't really win, and you didn't really lose... -By the way, once you run out of hp, it is game over! Controls: [Z] - Attack [X] - Defend [C] - Item [V] - Magic Arrow keys or [WASD] - Move Tips: -White bones will do damage to you, so try to avoid them. However, blue bones only do damage if you are moving, and orange bones only do damage if you are not. So, keep that in mind while battling. -Attacking does more damage when you are closer to the enemy, so try to draw near to the enemy when you can. -When you attack, there will be a target zooming in on the enemy. It will stop when you press Z again. The smaller the target is when you press Z, the more damage you'll deal! -Every time you attack, you get more MP. So, I guess a pro strategy would be to do a lot of attacks to charge up your MP, and then unleash a powerful PSI attack! (I ain't telling you what it is, though. You'll have to scroll down for that!) -Defending will prevent damage from being taken for a brief period of time. However, after usage, you have to wait a little before you can do an action again. -When you press C and use an Item, Ness will automatically pick an item best suited for the amount of health he currently has. I guess that means you don't have total control over Ness's actions, but hey, he's gotta do what's best for himself, y'know. The good thing about this is that you don't have to waste time picking an item and probably taking more damage. However, because you don't have an unlimited amount of items, Ness will pick the best option he can, which means that he may pick something that doesn't restore your health that much. In fact, here are the items you have: ~1 Grimm Gum (restores 15 hp) ~1 Protein Bar (restores 35 hp) ~1 Hamburger (restores 50 hp) ~1 Big Kahuna (restores 70 hp) ~1 Pie (restores all hp) Since you only have 5 items, I suggest using the item function sparingly. After all, you can only use it 5 times! -By the way, sometimes Ness won't choose anything when you do the item action! This might happen if you only have more effective healing items while at relatively high hp or if you don't have any items left! -You start the fight with 0 MP. Yeah, you heard me. 0 MP. But, as the fight progresses and the rhythm energy flows, you get more MP! -You can press the V button unleash the powerful PSI Fire Gamma, which does anywhere from 50 to 75 damage! However, it requires 40 MP, and the max amount of MP you can have is 100, so know that you can only use two consecutive PSI Fire Gamma before having to recharge. That's about it. Have fun battling and if you feel frustrated by this, I strongly suggest you take a break and do something else, like reading a book or having a snack.
