OCs! click to zoom, space for next. The two characters here are Feliarus Euroclydon and Qing Xuanlin, character profiles for those who are interested are included below. They're from the same world as Saeyan, one of my previous characters. I've been developing a world. They're only two of many characters, but I like them so I drew the two of them yesterday *note: the date system is not the same as ours, because their world isn't based off this one, and they come from entirely fictional places. The current year in their world is 1902. Feliarus Euroclydon [林雪慈, read as はやしゆきじ。Surname Hayashi, given name Yukiji.] - Age 176 | Height 175 cm | Weight 158 lbs | Male | Feb. 14, 1726 | Merinian/Hanakawan - The current Lord of the Feliarus family. He took the position after his father died in 1769. None of his friends call him Euroclydon, they usually call him Yuu, except for in the case of his lover, who calls him Xueci. Despite being an illegitimate child between a commoner and a noble, he was able to take the title of Lord of Feliarus family due to his extraodinary talent and popularity, as well as his younger sister's extremely bad reputation and cruel personality. Originally, he had intended to abandon the Feliarus family, having had dispute with his father twenty years prior. It was a scandal invoving his birth mother. The scandal destroyed his father's reputation, but also revealed his position as an illegitimate child, which he didn't care much about at the time, intending to abandon nobility anyway. After facing his father once more, while his father was on his deathbed 20 years later, he sought to claim the title of Feliarus, and coming to an agreement, his father passed his title down to his firstborn son, despite the many misgivings he had about his son after what had happened in the past. His father was able to forgive him for hating him, and he understood he deserved that, however. Though, small things, like the fact he wore his hair long and having a male lover greatly irked him still. Qing Xuanlin had been his best friend since he was the mere age of 13, and the two developed a romantic relationship around the time they were seventeen, when Euroclydon was able to see him again, as the two lived in very different places and situations, Euroclydon being a noble of Merinius, and Xuanlin being a talent of Yulong's sect. To this day, the two still carry out their relationsip in secret, because while technically, homosexual marriage and relationships are legal in Merinius due to something the Lord of Lysathae pulled around a hundred years ago, there is still a lot of stigma around such a thing. But due to this, Yuu remains unmarried and heirless. Additionally, he has a very close relationship to Lysathae Avis Saeyan, the Lord of Lysathae. Saeyan is something of his mentor and taught him a lot of magic, but also saved him from dfifferent things many times in the past. He has two names; the name Feliarus Euroclydon, the one he's most commonly known by, and Yukiharu[雪慈, read as ゆきじ], which was the name his mother, who was from Hanakawa, gave him. Translating Yukiharu into Meiwen, the language of Meiqing, farther west of Merinius than Hanakawa, it would be read as Xueci. As Xuanlin is from Yulong, one of Meiqing's three kingdoms, he calls Euroclydon by the name Xueci. He uses a magic called glacial wind blades, the magic of the Feliarus family, inherited from his father. His personality is very bright, sunny, and optimistic, and his eyes sparkle when he moves and talks. Being largely pacifistic in nature, he often has to stop Xuanlin from murdering people, due to Xuanlin's short temper. He's the only person capable of such a thing. UPDATE: changed Yuu's chinese/japanese name to Hayashi Yukiji/Lin Xueci（林雪慈） one summer's day- joe hisaishi characters & art belong to me. Qing Xuanlin [清玹霖, Qīng xuánlín] - Age 176 | Height 181 cm | Weight 180 lbs | Male | Jan. 21, 1726 - A talented Martial artist, of Yulong's royal sect, the martial arts and cultivation sect that became the basis of the kingdom of Yulong. He's still young, but very talented, and is easily one of the strongest people there. He was born a commoner and was admitted by virtue of talent, hailing from a middle-class merchant family. Once attending a one-year exchange in Merinius, he became good friends with Feliarus Euroclydon, who is today, his lover. He visits Merinius often to see him, as Eurocldyon is far more busy than himself and it's easier for him to go see Euroclydon, who he calls Xuechun. His personality is cold and standoffish, and is very unapproacheable in this manner. He's distasteful towards everyone but Eurocldyon, whom he loves very much, and the people he respects, like Saeyan, who in Meiqing is known as a legend under the name Xu Yang, by which he calls him, as Saeyan was probably the most talented person to ever pass through the sect. Besides Saeyan, the other person he respects would probably just be Zhen Feng, the leader of the sect and the strongest one there. Though, he treats Saeyan's younger brother, Seinyl, amicably as well, but the two aren't too close. But other than those three, he treats people coldly and rudely most of the time, even his own martial brothers, who have come to find this endearing, because the truth is that he cares a lot about them, and they know. He gets angry when embarassed, and is known to stare with such muderous intent when angered that most people avoid saying things about him for just this reason, except for Yuu, who he can't get angry at for whatever reason, and Saeyan, who seems perfectly inclined to poke fun at him and irritate his temper until it explodes for no reason whatsover. His eyes always seem to be cold an his eyebrows always seem to be furrowed, but his cheeks, despite his age, never lost all their baby fat and remain slighly chubby to this day. It makes his temper tantrums seem kind of cute to his elders, namely Saeyan, who enjoys his temper tantrums greatly. Saeyan is probably the only person who actually finds them funny. He uses the Guandao as his primary weapon, though he's able to use virtually any kind of weapon, and uses the sect's cultivation style, water dragon, in combination with this to great effect. - *note: they're both immortal, being talented enough to achieve it through a young age. Despite this, they're both still considered to be fairly young for mages, not yet 200 years of age. ** note 2: "qi" is what the people of Meiqing call magic. Magic and Qi are one and the same, however, the people of Meiqing practice a very different style of using it, that they call "cultivation." Of course, this is only bits and pieces of their actual backstory, but their actual backstory is the majority of a 195 page 67194 page google doc that basically requires 58 pages and 34948 words of prereading, which would be Saeyan's backstory, as the document that ended up being their backstory was originally intended, and still houses short stories and other backstory pieces of Saeyan, as the two are closely related to him, both effectively being his disciples.
