The trolley problem is one of the most famous ethical dilemmas. You are on a trolley with the brakes broken. You are heading towards 5 people but you can switch the track to hit one person. While most people would immediately assume that switching the track is better when looked at deeper it becomes a debate on whether or not it is murder or not. Due to the fact that your actions directly caused someones death instead of being a bystander is it ok? Does saving the 5 people make you a murderer?
