The story so far: "One day Sonic noticed a flood of Eggbots running along Ocean Way, a vast straight road said to be able to float because it circles the world, but the only thing on Sonic's mind is where these guys are headed. Sonic came across a portal to a safety dimension of the Chaos Emeralds. Apparently something horrible enough has happened to the Emeralds that they withdrew to this dimension. If Sonic collects them in order to escape then things should be ok, right?"
