I’m never gonna do a face reveal but I hope this suffices. After all, who doesn’t love a cute little gremlin-cat that would sell me to Satan for a slice of banana bread? Say hello to Bramble, my evil little mistress. She’s my closet gremlin and while my list of fun facts makes her sound like the spawn of Satan, I can assure you that we all love her dearly and we wouldn’t get rid of her if we were held at gunpoint. Fun Facts about my little girl: -She’s been to five homes before us and she was being given away at the shelter for a measly five dollars. She was one year old at the time and we have no idea what she did. -She’s very affectionate and whenever I’m sitting on the couch, she sometimes comes over to climb on my shoulders. She loves attention and wants to be pet and cuddled… until she decides she’s had enough and bites whoever’s touching her. -At her last home, she was a barn cat, so we can’t really keep her as an indoor cat. Plus, she knows how to use the dog door and we can’t just lock our dogs in the house all day. Before you yell at me, my old cat was an outdoor cat and he lived to be around 20 years old, which I’ve been told is a ripe old age for a cat. -She has a weak stomach and she likes to play a fun game where she finds the most inconvenient place to vomit and then demands more food immediately after. -She will do ANYTHING to get your attention when she’s hungry. She’ll swat at my legs, bite my ankles, yell at me and even claw the furniture to get my attention. Then she runs over to her food bowl and gives me the sweetest little meow as if she didn’t just nip at me. She’s getting fat because she’ll do this all day until you inevitably break. -Her favorite little snack is various thick pastries like banana bread, cornbread and this one lemon cake my mom makes. I know this because she keeps trying to eat mine. -She’s an excellent mouser and we haven’t had any rodent problems since we got her. Unfortunately, sometimes she likes to leave these still-alive little animals in our house and we have to jump through hoops to get whatever it is out. One time she brought a live sparrow into our house and we all went nuts trying to get it out. (We failed, by the way.) -The neighbor girl hates her because of how mean she is. We had to leave town for a bit and we asked her to watch Bramble. Apparently, Bramby is a vicious little monster (who would’ve guessed?) and hissed at her new babysitter. I would’ve thought that a girl who owns two cats wouldn’t lose her mind over a cat hissing at her, but hey, who am I to judge?
I get that it’s long overdue but I had some stuff to deal with a while back and I was too busy to share it. Of course, 300 followers has now turned into roughly 390, so now I’ve gotta cook up a whole new project for the big 400. I have no idea how this happened in such a short amount of time.
