[English] Earth Hour 2023 ----- Welcome to the Earth Hour 2023 studio, made in celebration and recognition of the Biggest Hour for Earth. Started in 2007, Earth Hour has shone a spotlight on the issues of climate change and nature loss. Since its creation, over 190 countries and millions of people around the world have taken part in Earth Hour and this year we invite you to join! Earth Hour is a reminder that even small actions can make a big difference and shows that each of us have the power to make a positive impact on our planet. The official event is on March 25th, 2023 from 8:30pm-9:30pm. Together, let’s help create the Biggest Hour for Earth. Earth Hour is a reminder that even small actions can make a big difference and that we all have the ability to contribute. Since 2007, Earth Hour has been known for the “lights off” moment, with individuals from around the globe switching off their lights to show symbolic support for the planet and to raise awareness of the environmental issues affecting it. This year, Earth Hour is stepping things up and creating the Biggest Hour for Earth. It is a call to action for people across the globe to switch off their lights and give an hour for Earth, spending 60 minutes doing something - anything - positive for our planet. Why is it important? The science is clear. The next 7 years are crucial to all our futures and in determining the health of our planet. We are dangerously close to an irreversible state of environmental degradation and runaway climate change and the time to act is fast running out. We are the first generation to have the solutions we need to reverse nature loss and limit climate change and the last one who can act before it's too late. We must all play our part to help drive the change we need. When is Earth Hour? March 25, 2023 from 8.30pm - 9:30pm (in your own time zone) - an invitation to everyone to join for 60 minutes and give an hour for Earth. How can I get involved? There are so many ways to get involved! You could participate in the event on 25th March 2023 at 8:30pm - switch off your lights and give an hour for the Earth. You could help spread awareness to friends and family, inviting others to join. You could recycle, use reusable materials, cook in more sustainable ways, and so much more! What ideas do you have? Share them in the comments or make a project and share it with us! What can I do during Earth Hour? - Go for a hike; stargaze; explore a nearby park - Cook a planet-friendly meal with family or friends - Play boardgames; create music; dance the night away; read a book - Discover ways to be more sustainable in your daily life; learn about climate change - Give back to your community; volunteer to help clean up a local park; inspire others to do the same - Create artwork with recycled materials; try night photography; write a poem or song or story about nature - Whatever else you can imagine! - - - - English | https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/33058468
