District // 7 Appearance // Faulkner is a thin, underweight cat with wispy shale-grey fur. Their back is a raven-black splotched with grey rosettes, and their paws are each marked with a unique pattern. Faulkner's eyes are a fathomless deep blue, holding no emotion. This cat wears a faded red bandana, a falconer's whistle hidden underneath their bandana, two silver earrings, and a wooden bracelet. Personality // Faulkner is an extremely taciturn cat who often keeps to themselves. In fact, they're so silent that it's often easy to forget that they were even there at all. They prefer to rely upon themself rather than accepting help from others due to their fiercely independent nature, which only further separate themself from other cats. But despite how shallow they appear, there's always a story to tell underneath the surface. Faulkner is an extremely intelligent individual, able to catch small details that others would typically miss. You'd be surprised with the expectational memory they possess- Faulkner will /never/ forget a face. Although somber, Faulkner finds themself to be witty and cunning, which gives them a natural charisma, though their lack of interaction has left them somewhat ignorant to normal social behavior. As a result, they can come off as blunt, maybe even rude. But Faulkner typically doesn't have any ill-intentions, rather wanting to appear as mildly-polite. Calm and collected, it would be difficult to jump scare or intimidate this cat, as Faulkner believes there's more to others than what they give. Their intellect gives them an advantage, allowing them to learn things at a faster pace compared to the average cat. A thirst for knowledge leaves Faulkner curious, though they typically won't do anything irrational without thinking it thoroughly first. Strengths // Quick learner, skilled with falconry and animals, decent climber and swimmer, knows survival skills Weaknesses // Won't accept help, prone to illness, somewhat thin and hence fragile, not very strong. Backstory // [more will be revealed through RP but here is the provided information] No one knows who Faulkner was. Not even Faulkner knows who they were. As a child, Faulkner appeared in one of the local D7 graveyards and all they could tell the locals was that their name was Altair “Faulkner” Corvus. No one bothered to take in Faulkner, so they simply lived in the graveyards. Faulkner was a quiet child, but they had a strong affinity for birds. Without any prior training (or as far as the locals know), they trained all the birds of prey in the area. They were rarely seen except in the dead of night. No one questioned this strange cat, but no one dared to. At least, not until Faulkner suddenly appeared at the Reaping and volunteered before they even called out the names. Strange… Trivia // They have dissociative amnesia. Their design was created by @Denim_Delphinium :] I know I said I was going to leave THG forever and ever and even after that but long story short, I got Faulkner from a very old THG adopt and I was planning on using them at some point, but after R7 I left THG because, at the time, it became too stressful for me with all the battle checks and stuff However, I felt as though Faulkner's character arc wasn't quite complete or fully explored. THG is full of death and Faulkner's character revolved around death so you can kind of see where that's going- In the past, I wasn't completely okay with my characters dying because I didn't want them to die. But with Faulkner- well not saying I want them to die but I'd be fine with it if Faulkner died because, in the end, they weren't ever going to win anyways So yeah I'm back for R9 but right after that, I'm leaving again lol.
